So, here it is for you. This 13x13 maple tom Shell has been sitting around because I never got to building it up. Its just an aesthetic thing, it doesn't feel dirty or oily.
This Shell has been in a box since i've had it so might just be oils from the wood. Please look at the pictures and feel free to ask any questions. It could be easily sanded away.
Notice on one side of the tom it looks like light oil splotches. I don't know.
