T comes with a pair of Sonora wood en handled wool timpani sticks. The screws around the rim of the drum head operate smoothly and tighten the head securely. It is tuned by tightening the screws around the rim. Since the drum has a natural calf skin head, it has a strong sound but it is not at all harsh to the ears.

Parents often commented on the fact that the sound of the drum was pleasing to their ears. The drum is in excellent working order. The legs telescope to make the drum taller, so you can adjust it to the size of the player.

This is an older Studio 49 timpani but it is in very good condition. Studio 49 now makes a 16 timpani that sells for Studio timpani, natural skin head 40sb. I used it in a private music Studio, and the children would always want to play it before class. In the photo it is missing 2 of the rubber feet, which I have since replaced.
