Introducing the rare and highly sought-after 5-Temple Set of Ludwig Leedy blocks, a true gem for any drummer or collector. This set of Duds, as they are affectionately known in the drumming community, features Ludwig Leedy blocks, which are renowned for their superior quality and iconic sound.
The set comprises five blocks, each meticulously crafted to deliver a rich, resonant tone that is both warm and punchy. These blocks are made from solid wood, which lends them a unique character and timbre that sets them apart from their plastic counterparts. The result is a sound that is both vintage and timeless, perfect for adding depth and texture to your drum kit.
The 5-Temple Set is particularly rare due to the limited availability of the 5-template design. Each block in the set is in excellent condition, showing minimal wear and tear. The wooden surfaces are smooth and free of cracks or blemishes, and the hardware is in excellent working order. The blocks come in their original leather pouch, which is also in excellent condition.
In conclusion, this 5-Temple Set of Ludwig Leedy blocks is a must-have for any serious drummer or collector. Its unique sound and rare design make it a standout addition to any drum kit, and its excellent condition ensures that it will continue to deliver superior sound quality for years to come. If you notice in picture, the largest block looks to be factory painted but black over red. Definitely done at the factory. I usually see red ones, but this is the first batch I have seen of black i'm guessing that it was special order and they just painted over one red one in the factory. They came together as a matched set.
All original nickel mounting hardware as well. Temple blocks here is a set of black temple blocks. They are in great shape.
The other 4 are black with no other color underneath who knows. I'll post more pictures later.
I can't find the other pictures I took. No dead ones, they sound great.
But at almost 100 years ago very nice separation and clean cut between the black and gold.
