I forget how many measures you can write per song. It can run on AA batteries, however, I have never tried to it batteries. I am the original owner. I plug this into my PA with a standard 1/4 mono guitar cable all the time to keep beat when practice without rest of band.
You can write in 4/4 or 3/4 time. The case is included. I think there are sixteen pre-programmed patterns. The power supply is not included.
The case is a little dirty, has some paint on it, and scuff marks.
