This is a really hard piece to let go, but its time pass it on another loving owner. The sound quality is beautiful and it a real inspiration in studio. It has a very unique and familiar sound that been used in all forms of hip hop, r b electronica, whether sampled processed or straight out the box itself.

Sounds include kick, snare, rim, cow bell, hi hats, cymbals, congas, bongos, tambourine and giros. This set has taken me well over 10 years to curate and was designed maintain the integrity spirit of original instrument, along with extras which enhance its functionality in any modern studio. They allow for pattern programming via a step-programming method similar to that on the you program 2 bar patterns one voice at time and up 4 voices can be simultaneously played. These patterns include rock, disco, waltz, shuffle, slow swing, fox trot, tango, etc. As for the drum sounds, cr-78 offers 14 very electronic yet analog tones. You are buying on a spectacular museum quality cr 78 comp-rhythm drum machine package that has been cornerstone of my vintage synthesizer collection. I'm not ultra-desperate to sell and this item is hard part with.

The unit has not been modified in any way. I will ultimately entertain any 2nd chance offers if the item does not sell the cr-78 is a really great little box from Roland. The cr-78 also has external trigger using 24ppq v-trig clock pulse.

With 11 variation effects and the ability to adjust tempo, accents, fade in outs cr-78 is still capable of producing nice rhythms for use ambient, hip hop, dub, other electronic forms music. Patterns can also be set to fade-in out. All communication should be through messaging for your and my security. Some are cool, but the ability to vary them gives you creative control.

Its a classic analog rhythm machine, not drum and was the first to use microprocessor. It includes the rare ws-1 write switch tested and functional, understandably worn from 40 years, original Roland foot switch, sensor for owners manual, clock to midi adapter with cables power supply, as well a USB-midi interface so you can sync your computer sequencer. The cr-78 could also be programmed using standard ts-1 memory write switch or rather hard-to-find ws-1 programming.

It has 34 built in preset rhythm patterns which can be varied at the push of a button. User patterns are stored to battery-backed memory. Its been reviewed, cleaned, and blessed by our Chicago-area synth tech, Midwest music menders: it is verified in original working order, darn well appears that way too.

Each of the four voices can be independently muted from front-panel allowing for building up and breaking down your rhythm patterns.
