The on off shaft can be turned by hand. Sold for parts is this Indian electronic drum machine. Sold as is.

Some cosmetic scratches scuffs not visible in the photo. The volume knob is fine where it is so I wouldn't sweat it unless you want to put a knob on it. It does work, but the cord is finicky. The knobs have been lost but generic knobs should be fine.

Should work fine with batteries. To make it work right, you would have to either stick something in the socket with the cord to apply more pressure against that switch or else get into the machine and maybe bend a switch contact into better position.
