First of all: this is a tama drum, not Mapex. There are 6 spare heads included. The spare heads are a REM ebony, two coated emperors, clear ambassador, power stroke 4, and an attack 1-ply thin which could be good resonant head.
All the heads including two mounted on drum are in good to very used condition. It came as an incomplete drum with no bottom head, tom legs, and a one leg mount needing replacement. But it does indeed have a more thunderous sustain when is in the suspension basket.
I am downsizing my kit and hardware as get older. The last picture showing bottom of drum and interior has 18 DDS mounting basket suspension system which is not part this offer. The drum sounds great without mounting basket.
I bought this about 3 years ago on the 18 suspension basket is offered in another posting currently have. The legs are not original tama. The bearing edges are fine. I gave the drum a thin coat of stain to see if could darken up some scratches.
I like this drum, but it is big and heavy. It sort of worked, but a darker stain might do the trick better you can see bit on hardware since I did not remove before staining. There is currently a REM ebony series batter on the top, thin unknown brand head as resonant bottom.
But it looks very close in design. There are some scratches in the finish. This is a good solid candidate for refurbishing, or you can play it as. The drum is solid with no damage and extra holes.
One of the feet has a white cap. As you can see from the pictures, this is a players drum. The bottom rim has a slight bit of rust and dent head tightens down fine since is on top part only visible in picture with tom leg ends.
