This 18 tom has a maple mahogany shell for cut and attack is new in the box. The only single wood shell in series. All reference series bass drums utilize 4 to 6 inner plies of mahogany produce a noticeably present response, as well naturally smooth sonic transition into the mid-range frequencies.
