All issues with this drum, as few as they are, have been photographed. This drum alone is pretty rare natural birch finish on an rc is scarce.
The bearing edges are all in great condition as well.
There is no vent hole under it.
Shipping weights and package sizes are estimated, as I package the items after offer ends.
I am very eager to please. The rest of the surface is practically pristine. There might be a few spots with minor pitting to the chrome here and there but the finish is virtually as it left the factory. I speculate that this was done so the Yamaha badge name could be seen from multiple angles while being played on stage advertising.
The reason is that I may have multiple item winners and I will combine the items to save on postage. Rating is good but will suspend my selling rights if my average falls below 4. This is kind of unusual in that the date code letter n is not on the code chart.
The weights I use are, somewhat, estimated.
It is in exceptionally nice, virtually un played, condition. I am selling another, hard to find, 12 by 8 tom in natural birch also from 1982 and it is in very good, above average for age, condition so please have a look at it as well.
Notice that factory staining finish on the shell carries onto the bearing edges, which is appropriate for a drum made this early. The chrome hoops are pressed and in very good shape.
Another unusual detail on this drum is that there is a second dummy badge with no stamps on the other side of the drum. This listing is for a pre yeas mounting system, Yamaha recording custom, 14 by tom in natural birch finish.
See photos for condition and feel free to ask questions. The badge on this tom has model no tt 914g and serial date stamp in. I measured across the drum, front and back and did not come up with more than a variation on both sides measures around at any given point.
The chrome is in excellent condition and the interior hardware screws and brackets are factory fresh. Requires that I pre fill in the shipping weight and package size to list this item. The shell is nearly perfect but for a few marks to the panel opposite the mounting hardware last photograph above.
The chrome and other steel hardware is in very good condition as can be seen in the pictures above.
This has happened to me a couple of times and I am very grateful to have it brought to my attention.
